Friends, This site is purely a creative project, and I pay for it myself with my own resources. I have been making music and doing creative projects at a loss, not a profit, for years. But, I will continue doing it anyway, because it is important and meaningful to me, and a whole lot of fun seeing it come together. If you would like to support the site and my creative endeavors, read on, and Thank You:
My first album (not currently available) dropped July 7, 2002. It was recorded on a Hewlett Packard that had a 9 GB hard drive with an Aardvark audio input card. I played the songs on a Kawaii electronic piano, and for vocals recorded with an inexpensive condenser mic. It wasn't pretty.
Recording music, creating fun graphics, and storylines is not my day job. I write and record music on my day off, or really late at night when everyone else is asleep. A good percentage of musicians and artists create for fun, or as a side gig. I wanted to create a site that represents the music and material I've created through the years in a fun and engaging way.
It takes resources to pay for a site, improve your recording equipment and instruments over the years, develop new material and products, etc.
One of my favorite podcasts has a saying.* "Support what you love, or it goes away . . . . "
Your album and merchandise purchases, as well as your tips help pay for this site, help me to make the music and material better, and keep me motivated to make more . . . .
When you stream my music at other sites, one of those sources remits to me a .0001 royalty. A hundred listens at that rate will give me 1 penny. One-hundred thousand listens at that rate would net ten dollars. Some streaming platforms remit even less. When you want to support your favorite artist/s, buy a song (don't just stream it), or buy an album (here), or share a tip. That will add up fast for them, and motivate them to keep laying the golden eggs (the art) that you like so much. And it will always be on your listening device. Find someone local-or find someone halfway across the world. I love to see that someone halfway across the world is enjoying my music.
In the meantime, buying a mug gets you a souvenir. I have two HUGE Marvelous Mugs and I've used them for years. They are not the run of the mill cheesy little souvenir cup. You can set your Keurig on “large” and it will not fill the cup. You can walk up the stairs easily without spilling a bunch of coffee and burning your hand in the process.
Support your church, some good charity, take care of your family and your necessities first, and then if you want to share a few dollars to support the art here, that would be awesome. And thank you!
The mugs over at the merch table are so useful as well!
And if you really like the material, please share my link with friends/family or an influencer . . . . https://christruelsenpresents.com

*[Just for your info: the podcast that says "Support what you love, or it goes away . . . ." is Red-Pilled America. That site can be found here: https://redpilledamerica.com]
The album cover of my original album, July 7, 2002. I burned CDs on my home computer and self-printed stick-on CD labels and album covers on an ink jet. That album is no longer available. [Thanks for keeping the music and other content going. A $2 minimum helps take care of PayPal fees]
